Bimantara Citra acquired Global TV ownership with its subsidiary PT Panca Andika Mandiri (then renamed to MNC Media) as new owner in 2001 and changed the company's name to PT Global Informasi Bermutu and thus, replacing SCTV as RCTI's new sister network.
