Danny Webb (born 6 June 1958) is an English television and film actor. His roles include the prisoner Morse in the movie Alien 3 , Thomas Cromwell in Henry VIII and John Maynard Jefferson in the two part Doctor Who story " The Impossible Planet " and " The Satan Pit " in 2006.
The first episode aired on Wednesday 9 January 2008 at 21:00. It pulled in an average audience of 6 million viewers, winning the 21:00 slot with a 24% share. [1] However, the second episode figures fell to 4.3 million viewers (17%) , in competition with the second season premier of Torchwood on the BBC, and the third episode declined further to 3.7 million viewers (15%) .
When Webb arrived in Hollywood, he was using the name Dave Weber. He did celebrity impersonations on the Burns & Allen anniversary show along with doing voice work for a Screen Gems cartoon called Sing Time, where he impersonated Bing Crosby, Rudy Vallee, Eddie Cantor, Andy Devine and others. [2]
