The university is a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the South Atlantic Conference since the 1998–99 academic year.

Pioneer Park is a stadium on the campus of Tusculum University in Tusculum, Tennessee. It is primarily used for baseball as the home field for the college's baseball team, the Tusculum Pioneers. It was built in 2004, and holds 4,000 people.
While the team bore the name of Greeneville, they would play their home games at Pioneer Park located in nearby Tusculum on the campus of Tusculum College.
