Norfolk (/ ˈ n ɔːr f ɔːr k / NOR-fork or / ˈ n ɔːr f oʊ k / NOR-fohk) is a city in Madison County, Nebraska, United States, 113 miles northwest of Omaha and 76 miles southwest of Sioux City, Iowa, at the intersection of U.S. Routes 81 and 275.
At Norfolk it meets U.S. Route 81. It continues west-northwest, meets U.S. Route 20 near Inman and the two routes overlap until US 275 ends at an intersection with U.S. Route 281 in downtown O'Neill .
Nebraska Highway 24 begins in the southeastern part of Norfolk at U.S. Highway 275. This intersection is also the western terminus of Nebraska Highway 35. It goes southeast on a route which parallels the Elkhorn River towards Stanton. In Stanton, the highway meets Nebraska Highway 57 and ends. [1] [2]
