The California Coastal Records Project, founded in 2002, [1] documents the California coastline with aerial photos taken from a helicopter flying parallel to the shore. Their webpage provides access to these images. One photo was taken every 500 feet. [2] [3] Each photo showed a few hundred yards of the coastline, with frames overlapping. [4]
Washington Lake [1] is the location of the Port of Sacramento (also known as Port of West Sacramento), in West Sacramento, California. Lake Washington hosts seagoing ships [clarification needed] along with the Lake Washington Sailing Club (LWSC) and the River City Rowing Club (RCRC). During summers there can be classes to learn how to row and sail.
The NASA satellite image below shows the lake in greater detail. The main algal bloom, in the top left of the lake, is dark and cloudy. The image was taken May 15 during the peak of the visible bloom.
