Wesley Eure (born Wesley Eure Loper; August 17, 1951) is an American actor, singer, author, producer, director and educator.He is best known for appearing as Michael Horton on the American soap opera Days of Our Lives from 1974 to 1981, during which he also starred on the popular children's television series Land of the Lost as Will Marshall.
In the film, Rick Marshall sings the original Land of the Lost theme and two other tracks (Tracks 5 and 27) utilize parts of the theme as well., The musical A Chorus Line plays a part in the story, and Ferrell sings Cher's 1998 dance pop hit "Believe". Varèse Sarabande released the soundtrack album on June 9, 2009 (tracks 30-32 are bonus tracks).
The album title is a reference to the Sleestak, the lizard-like antagonists in the 1974 TV series Land of the Lost. The single "Freak Now" was included on the soundtrack to the 1994 film Brainscan, as well as used in the movie. The tracks "A Beginning", "Two of Me (Parts One and Two)", and "Peri Cynthion" were also used in the film.
The song was also featured prominently in the films Three Kings (1999), A Knight's Tale (2001), The Man (2005), Land of the Lost (2009), and Bullet Train (2022), in the trailer for the 2008 film Tropic Thunder, and in the end credits music in episode 24 ("One Day in the Valley") of the television series, Entourage.
