Margret Nissen (born Margarete Speer; 19 June 1938) is a German photographer. She is a daughter of the German architect and high-ranked Nazi Party official Albert Speer (1905–1981). [1] Margret was named after her mother. She lived in Obersalzberg until the end of the war. After the imprisonment of her father, the family moved to Heidelberg. [2]
In mid-1922, Speer began courting Margarete (Margret) Weber (1905–1987), the daughter of a successful craftsman who employed 50 workers. The relationship was frowned upon by Speer's class-conscious mother, who felt the Webers were socially inferior.
