John Edward Connelly (August 12, 1925 – May 16, 2009) was an American entrepreneur.He founded the Gateway Clipper Fleet in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, pioneered riverboat casino gambling along the Mississippi River via his President Casinos empire and founded a fleet of ships operating out of Chelsea Piers in New York City.
The ship was built in 1989 for the Japanese market as Oceanic Grace, before being bought by Indonesia's Spice Islands Cruises which renamed her Oceanic Odyssey. In 1999, she was bought by St Louis-based Clipper Cruise Line, and renamed Clipper Odyssey. [5] She was then sold in 2007 to International Shipping Partners. [6]
Spirit of Glacier Bay, formerly Spirit of Nantucket and Nantucket Clipper, and now called the Chichagof Dream is a small cruise ship that was owned and operated by Cruise West until 2010. She is 207 feet long, carries up to 102 passengers and approximately 28 crew.
