The station's call letters changed to WTWB-TV (for "Triad WB") on August 28, 2000. WTWB dropped Fox's children's programming in March 2001, and WGHP chose not to pick up Fox's new Saturday morning cartoon block, Fox Box (later 4Kids TV), which replaced Fox Kids in 2002. As a result, the block did not air at all in the Piedmont Triad.

WXLV-TV (channel 45) is a television station licensed to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States, serving as the ABC affiliate for the Piedmont Triad region. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside Greensboro -licensed MyNetworkTV affiliate WMYV (channel 48).
On May 8, 2017, Sinclair entered into an agreement to acquire WGHP owner Tribune Media. [9] It intended to keep WGHP and WMYV, selling WXLV-TV and eight other stations to Standard Media Group. [10] The transaction was designated in July 2018 for hearing by an FCC administrative law judge, and Tribune moved to terminate the deal the next month. [11]
