The Lake Michigan Conference (LMC) was a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division III level for the last 7-8 years of its existence after member schools transitioned up from NAIA. Member institutions were all located in Wisconsin except Dominican University in Illinois.
Lakeland's quarterback Mark Novara completed 252 of 427 passes for 3,098 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also set an NCAA career record with 894 pass completions and was selected as the IBC 1997 player of the year.
