Basil Street, originally known as North Street, is a street in London's Knightsbridge.It was laid out in the second half of the eighteenth century on land belonging to Lord Cadogan and runs between Sloane Street in the north and the junction of Walton Place and Hans Road in the south.
It is located at 22–24 Basil Street, Knightsbridge, and is known to have been visited by The Queen. [1] It was established by David Levin in April 1971. [2]
The Brompton Road building was subsequently demolished, but the rear entrance at the corner of Basil Street and Hoopers Court remains, although converted for use as offices. To ease congestion, it was also decided to provide an additional entrance to the western end of the platforms closer to Harrods.
