Edge is a puzzle-platform game developed by Mobigame for PC and iOS devices. The objective is to guide a rolling cube through maze-like levels and reach the goal. Originally released on the App Store in December 2008, it has been removed and re-added to the store multiple times due to a trademark dispute with Tim Langdell of Edge Games, concerning the use of the word "Edge" in the title.
Curiosity was a multiplayer social experiment.The game setting was a featureless and minimalist white room in the middle of which floated a giant cube made of billions of smaller cubes ("cubelets") and white, floating text across each layer, usually topic related (hashtag, notifications etc.), with small messages.
In the game, the player controls a character who must run around a platform made of cubes, clearing certain cubes as they approach. Cubes are "cleared" by marking a spot on the stage, waiting for the cube to roll on top of it, and then deactivating the marked spot. The game was well received by critics.
The objective of the game is to guide a cube over spikes and pits. There are 5 levels in the game. Fire Aura, Original Level, Chaoz Fantasy, Heaven and Phazd (2 in iOS and Android normal versions), four of which with original music. There are two modes in the game: normal mode and practice mode. In normal mode, there are no flags (checkpoints).
A Cube port, intended as a technology demo was submitted to the iPhone in 2008, and was released to the iPhone App Store on November 18. [ 14 ] [ 15 ] A version of AssaultCube for Android was released in May 2021.
