North Market is a food hall and public market in Columbus, Ohio.The Downtown Columbus market was established in 1876, and was the second of four founded in Columbus. The market is managed by the non-profit North Market Development Authority (NDMA), which also manages North Market Bridge Park, a market in Dublin, Ohio.
The Farmers and Merchants Union Bank is located in downtown Columbus, at the southern corner of West James Street and South Dickason Boulevard. It is a tall single-story in height, its exterior finished in tapestry brick with marble and terra cotta trim. The main facade is two bays wide, with the building entrance in the right bay.
Many of the market's merchants moved to the then nearly empty North Market. [6] On June 9, 1966, its demolition was scheduled, after a judge refused to spare the market. [2] Merchants still operated out of the space into the last weeks of it standing. [1] The demolition took place from June 12 to 21, leaving only bricks and timbers. [2]

In 1980, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Milford Center and The First National Bank of Burton merged with Huntington Bancshares. [14] In 1981, the bank acquired Alexandria Bank Company and renamed it The Huntington State Bank, with a loan production office opening in Cincinnati. In 1982, the bank merged with the Reeves Banking and Trust Company. [14]
