Growing up, Halloran played for the Colorado Thunderbirds and Colorado Rampage 16U AAA in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League (T1EHL). Morris was born on May 22, 1996, to mother Kathy Morris and father Christopher Lee Morris. He has two older sisters, Kalee and Jessi.
