Finn Center is CSMA's first permanent home. Opened in January 2004, it is an $11.7 million, 25,000-square-foot (2,300 m 2) building housing 17 music studios, classrooms, a ceramics studio, a digital arts lab, a teacher resource center, a recital hall, the 200-seat Tateuchi Hall for concerts, and exhibition space in Mohr Gallery.

The Cuttack Survey School 1876 — later renamed to Orissa School of Engineering — was established as the first technical school in the state. The conversation of School of Engineering happened in 1923. This is the oldest technical institute in the state. Prior to 1923, there was no scope of technical education in Orissa.

The first primary school was created in 1822 by missionaries. The Cuttack Zilla school, Odisha's first modern school up to matriculation level, was established in 1866. It was extended to become a Collegiate school in 1868, which provided first and second year college education to Odia students.
