The hotel reopened as the 'DoubleTree Guest Suites by Hilton Detroit Downtown - Fort Shelby on December 15, 2008. The restored hotel contains 203 guest suites, 56 apartments on the upper floors, a 21,000-square-foot (2,000 m 2 ) conference center with two ballrooms and 17 Breakout rooms.

Fairfield Manor, also known as the Fairfield Manor Apartments, is a historic apartment building located one mile south of downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was designed by noted Fort Wayne architect Charles R. Weatherhogg. It is a seven-story plus basement, rectangular, Colonial Revival style brick building with a slight "bar-bell" form.
The project includes a ballpark that is primarily used for baseball, home field to the Fort Wayne TinCaps minor league baseball team. Also included are new retail, office, and apartments, a Courtyard by Marriott to serve Grand Wayne Convention Center and Embassy Theatre patrons, and an adjoining park with amphitheater and fountain.
