Cross in the Mountains, also known as the Tetschen Altar, is an oil painting by the German artist Caspar David Friedrich designed as an altarpiece. [1] The melody of "Hänschen klein" is used in "Lightly Row", a Mother Goose rhyme. The melody is used in the war movie Cross of Iron (1977). [2]
