Vash, Meryl, and Roberto manage to grapple Hamilton and force him to disable the bombs attached to everyone or be blown up with them. Hamilton disables the bombs, but Vash stops the townspeople from taking his life. Knives then arrives at the town, killing Hamilton and several townspeople and cutting off the elder Nebraska's arm.
