Island Park is a city in Fremont County, Idaho, United States. The city's population was 286 at the 2010 census , up from 215 in 2000. The city was incorporated by owners of the many lodges and resorts along U.S. Route 20 in 1947, primarily to circumvent Idaho's liquor laws that prohibited the sale of liquor outside of city limits.
The Big Falls Inn, also known as Upper Mesa Falls Lodge, is located near Island Park, Idaho. It was built in 1907. It is on the western bank of Henrys Fork at Upper Mesa Falls in the Targhee National Forest. [2] It is a one-and-a-half-story log building on a concrete foundation. It is 62 by 30 feet (18.9 m × 9.1 m) in plan. [2]

The state park is located within the Henry's Fork Caldera, which is part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Henrys Lake State Park is a public recreation area located on the south shore on Henrys Lake thirteen miles (21 km) north of Island Park in Fremont County, Idaho, U.S. The state park occupies 585 acres (237 ha) off US 20 near Goose Bay and the Henrys Lake Outlet. Park facilities include hiking trails, boat ramp, campgrounds, and cabins. [3]
The Johnny Sack Cabin, at Big Springs, Idaho near Island Park, is a log bungalow built in 1932–34. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. [1]It is a very well-made bungalow, about 20 by 27 feet (6.1 m × 8.2 m) in plan, with porches as extensions.
