The Westminster athletic teams are called the Blue Jays. The college is a member of the Division III level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) since the 1990–91 academic year.
2008 – Blackburn, Principia, Maranatha Baptist, Rockford, Trinity Bible and Westminster (Mo.) left the UMAC as associate members for football, effective after the 2007 fall season (2007–08 academic year). 2008 – The UMAC became affiliated with the NCAA Division III ranks, effective in the 2008–09 academic year.

The 1953 Westminster Titans football team was an American football team that represented Westminster College as an independent during the 1953 college football season. In their second season under head coach Harold Burry , the Titans compiled a perfect 8–0 record, shut out four opponents, and outscored all opponents by a total of 143 to 33.
