Desktop Gold offers the ability to back up your data to a file that can be easily transferred to another computer. Personal data that will be backed up includes Mail saved on your PC, Toolbar Favorites, and settings for all Usernames associated with this installation of AOL Desktop Gold. Sign in to Desktop Gold. Click the Settings icon.
This feature allows you manually navigate to a PFC file on your computer and to import data from that file. 1. Sign in to Desktop Gold. 2. Click the Settings icon. 3. While in the General settings, click the My Data tab. 4. Click PFC Import. 5. Select your file. 6. Once your personal data is imported, you'll have access to it in Desktop Gold.
For security purposes, log out of your account when you're finished (especially if you're using a shared or public computer). Mouse over your account name in the upper right corner of the page and click Sign Out .
