Douglas Fraser Edwards (March 15, 1946 – November 11, 2016) was a Canadian musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist best known for co-creating the hit song "Wildflower" for the pop/rock band Skylark. He was also part of The Hometown Band and later was bassist for Vancouver band Chilliwack.
Gerrard successfully auditioned as lead vocalist for Skylark in the early 1970s, with his performance leaving an impression on David Foster. [1] He sang with the band on its self-titled album in 1972, [4] and was lead singer on their hit single, "Wildflower". [5] It ultimately lasted 21 weeks on the Billboard charts. [1]

Foster was a keyboardist for the pop group Skylark, discovered by Eirik Wangberg. The song "Wildflower" was a top ten hit in 1973. [3] When the group disbanded, Foster remained in Los Angeles [8] and, together with Jay Graydon, he formed the band Airplay. In 1975, Foster played on George Harrison's album Extra Texture.
