Thanks. Yeah, I realize the Ape is kinda low here. For some reason the big beast-type Bosses were always less of a problem for me than the human Bosses. You have a lot of space in the Ape, Bull, Ogre etc. fights and I feel like people underestimate just how insane your movement options in this game are.
I am a 12 year old kid playing Sekiro for the first time. No Joke. I defeated the demon of hatred on the first try as I was used to bloodborne style bosses. the sword saint isshin was by far the hardest and I only died to him 3 times, all three of those dies were to his second phase.
Finally played and beat Sekiro recently and thought I'd rank the bosses by how close they were to what I expected based on their reputation, rather than by overall difficulty. Descriptions for each individual boss ranking below, along with thoughts on the fight. Demon of Hatred: I hate this guy. It's a cinematic fight but it's so far from what ...

That's what I love about these games. Entirely different experiences with difficulty for every one. Like I still don't think these bosses are nearly as hard as some BS soulsborne ones like Midir, Friede, Fume Knight, Orphan/Ludwig, Manus or O&S (at least at launch). Sekiro's bosses felt much too fair lol

Generally it's the hardest game especially when fighting multiple enemies because the combat is designed for 1v1 battles not gangs and some enemies are individually harder than some bosses , in terms of bosses however I still found ds3 to be the hardest in the series , sekiro is a close second tho
The hardest headless is under the fountainhead palace and even he’s easier than every miniboss on this list because he only has 1 required deathblow on account of there technically being 2 of him. Reply
