Boing is an African television channel operated by Warner Bros. Discovery through its International unit, which launched on May 30, 2015. [1] A localization of the eponymous Italian television service, the channel airs programming primarily from sister channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang, as well as those from other producers.
The channel was launched in February 2005 with a live music special with live performances from local African and international artists, along with some music video and reality programming from MTV Europe. The network also carries the American and European awards ceremonies of MTV and BET.
On January 1, 2017, the channel became available to AzamTV subscribers. [9] The channel does not have a website. The French version of Boing is also broadcast in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb. [10] On 2 February 2023, it was announced that Boing French would be replaced by a Cartoonito channel French on 3 April 2023.
