BraveStarr is an American Space Western animated series that aired 65 episodes from September 1987 to February 1988 in syndication. [1] [2] The show was created a year after Mattel had released a line of action figures. BraveStarr was the last animated series produced by Filmation and Group W Productions before Filmation shut down in 1989. [3]

Mogul the Space Sorcerer summons a powerful entity from a pneumonic universe in order to provide him a power source that would make him the most powerful sorcerer in the galaxy. However, he loses control of the entity, and the Lady of Light crash-lands on a planet in the frontier. She loses her crown of power and begins to lose molecular cohesion.
The animation was provided by Japanese studio Pacific Animation Corporation. In total, 65 episodes were made. It was created as a space-based equivalent of their previous series ThunderCats. [3] As was the case with ThunderCats, there was also a SilverHawks comic book series published by Marvel Comics under the imprint Star Comics.
