Thanh Tùng (15 September 1948 – 15 March 2016) was a Vietnamese pop music composer and songwriter. He was born in Nha Trang , Khánh Hòa , but moved to Hanoi at age 6. Thanh Tùng graduated from the Pyongyang Conservatory in 1971 and worked for Voice of Vietnam from 1971 to 1975.

He was the Minister of Ministry of Youth in the first cabinet of Empire of Vietnam , the second Minister of Defence of Vietnam (March 1946 to May 1946) and held the position of Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade (Vietnam) from 1955 to 1976.
