Woodland Cemetery (formerly known as Grove Cemetery and Woodlawn Cemetery) is a public, city-owned cemetery located at 428 Jerome Street in the city of Monroe in the U.S. state of Michigan. [1] [2] It occupies 10 acres (4.0 ha) and contains over 6,500 graves. Founded in 1810, it is one of Michigan's oldest public cemeteries.

Monroe Street: Monroe: A statue of George Armstrong Custer, who spent a portion of his childhood in Monroe, was unveiled by President Taft and Elizabeth Bacon Custer in 1910.
