The Shops on Steeles and 404 is a small 50-store community mall at the corner of Steeles Avenue East and Don Mills Road in Markham, Ontario. Aside from a few chains, the mall is mostly independent stores. A (now shuttered) Sears outlet store at The Shops on Steeles and 404 in Thornhill, Ontario.
North of Steeles Avenue, Yonge continues through York Region, as the border of Markham and Vaughan south of Highway 407, and the primary road through Richmond Hill. It then continues through Aurora and Newmarket, before spurring off of the former stretch of Highway 11 and eventually breaking in the Holland Marsh just north of Queensville Sideroad.
