Joan Joyce (August 18, 1940 – March 26, 2022) [1] was the softball coach at Florida Atlantic, for 28 years until her death in 2022.She previously was a softball player for the Raybestos Brakettes and the Orange Lionettes. [2]
During her playing career she won 88 LPGA Tour tournaments, more than anyone else on the LPGA or PGA Tours. Whitworth was also a runner-up 93 times, giving her 181 top-two finishes. [1] In 1981, she became the first woman to reach career earnings of $1 million on the LPGA Tour. She is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Connie Sue Clark (born December 20, 1965) [1] is an American, former collegiate All-American right-handed softball pitcher and head coach. Clark began her college softball career at the junior college level before finishing her last two years with the Cal State Fullerton Titans from 1986–87 and leading them to the 1986 Women's College World Series championship title.
Playing for Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida, Andrews was named Pinellas County player of the year. [4] She led the state in stolen bases and batting average as a senior.
