Alliance, Texas is served by a logistics hub, including the BNSF Railway's Alliance Intermodal Rail Hub and Fort Worth Alliance Airport for rail and air cargo. Interstate 35W, Alliance Gateway Freeway, U.S. Route 377, Texas Highway 114, Texas Highway 170, and Texas Farm to Market Road 156 all run through the community.
Lively served as Dallas County Judge from 1904 to 1908. He was born in Wood County, Texas, and came to Dallas with his parents at age 14. He was an Assistant Dallas County Attorney from 1900 to 1904. At the time of his death, he was the senior member of Lively, Alexander, George & Thuss. He was married to Trixie Green from Thorpe Springs in 1908.
Munger Place was established in 1905 by cotton gin manufacturer Robert S. Munger on 300 acres (1.2 km 2) as one of Dallas's first suburbs, and was originally intended to be one of the most exclusive communities in the city. To attract the "right" social element, Munger Place was carefully planned.

Junius Heights was built at what was the eastern edge of the city of Dallas in the late 1910s and construction continued into the 1930s. Most of the houses are Craftsman and Prairie style bungalows with a smattering of other styles. The neighborhood was served by the Junius Heights streetcar line until streetcar service was discontinued in Dallas.
The neighborhood contains around 1,700 homes, [3] and is located inside the triangle formed by Lake Highlands Drive, Northwest Highway, and White Rock Lake.The area includes many parks along the creeks that feed into White Rock Lake including Norbuck Park at the southeast corner of Buckner and Northwest Highway.
The district contains the University of North Texas at Dallas, UNT Law, and Texas Woman's University at Dallas. The 30th district is also home to Dallas Love Field airport and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The current Representative from the 30th district is Democrat Jasmine Crockett, who has represented the district since 2023.
