The above works perfectly on my iPhone and Outlook, but not Windows 10 mail app. I have followed instructions on updating and checking proxy is off and sync is enabled and privacy settings in mail verified. I even tried changing verizon.net to aol.com to no avail. Tried using ports 993 and 587 but no avail. Tried ports 993 and 465 but no avail.
Problems with Verizon email account. I started to have a problem with my Verizon email account after I upgrade to windows 10 on my Toshiba laptop. All my folders disappeared, sent, deleted, all the ones I made. The email page shown on the screen shows a blank area where the folders had been. The email display area shows (back to back arrows ...
This is free email account from MS which can also be used as your Microsoft Account for store and other MS products or Windows 10 login. The concept is much the same as Google's gmail or Verizon's Yahoo mail. To establish a new account you basically need your name and contact info. Navigate to Outlook.com and open an account.
Go to AOL signin and click your name -> Account Security. Scroll down to App Password -> Generate and manage passwords. Name the password - I use "Outlook". Use the generated password for the windows mail to outlook update, just take out the spaces. My Computer.
There are two places to set privacy for the Mail and Calendar Apps. Here is where I found the info: Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 FAQ - Outlook. Click the Start icon, then settings. I too can send email OK, but cannot receive. This is true whether I use IMAP (imap.aol.com) or POP (either pop.aol.com, or pop.verizon.net). This works fine on other devices - my old PC (Windows 7, with Windows Live Mail), as well as on an iPhone and an Android phone. These are all set up as POP3 with verizon.pop.net.

Obviously it works manually to send them to mms phone message. They do allow it in Outlook, and other paid apps, so will mark it solved. I could set this up as in forward to gmail and gmail sends the mms, but that Verizon does not like and it is unreliable, they arrive out of order, hours late or not at all. And it adds time.
Option 1: We recommend that you access your mail using our free AOL app for iOS and Android or simply go to mail.aol.com to access AOL Mail on the web. Option 2: Keep your current, non-AOL app, BUT follow a few steps to get it to sync with our secure sign-in method.
AOL has merged with Yahoo now both belong to Oath. My rarely used AOL mail however is working OK with IMAP on Thunderbird so must be just Verizon related. All AOL based Email, that's AOL, AOLUK, Aim, Compuserve, Netscape and Verizon now goes through mx-aol.mail.gm0.yahoodns.net: Which is probably why it keeps throwing up the Yahoo stuff?
