The character first appeared in Zombie's 2003 horror film House of 1000 Corpses, portrayed by Sid Haig. Haig reprised his role as Spaulding in the sequels The Devil's Rejects (2005) and 3 from Hell (2019).

"Two-Lane Blacktop" is a song by Rob Zombie from his Past, Present & Future compilation album. The song is loosely based on the 1971 road movie Two-Lane Blacktop directed by Monte Hellman . The song was also featured in the racing game Need for Speed: Underground in 2003 and then again in the film Venom in 2005.
Zombies are fictional creatures usually portrayed as reanimated corpses or virally infected human beings. They are commonly portrayed as anthropophagous in nature—labeling them as cannibals would imply zombies are still members of the human species, and expert opinions quoted in some of the films below, e.g. Dawn of the Dead, specifically state this is not the case.
