UTM has three campuses – the main campus is in Skudai, and was the first university in the state of Johor. It has an area of 1148 hectares and is the largest public university. The second largest was Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with an area size of 1108.103 hectares. It is about 20 km north of the state capital, Johor Bahru.

Bandar Seri Alam is a township in Mukim Plentong, Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia. It is an initiative by Seri Alam Properties Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of United Malayan Land Bhd.
