Orfordville is a village in Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located at the intersection of Highway 11 , Highway 213 , and the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad . The population was 1,473 at the 2020 census.
The Orfordville Depot was built in 1886 by the Milwaukee and Mississippi Railroad and served as a de facto social center for the tiny community of Orfordville, Wisconsin for decades. The Gempeler Round Barn near Orfordville, Wisconsin, United States, is a round barn built about 1912, unusual in that its central support is the trunk of an oak tree, three feet across at the top. [2] The barn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1979. [3] [1]
