Because the original actress (Jessica Steen) cast in the role lied to the producers/creators to go to burning man by saying it was a family obligation that she couldn't get out of. When the producers found out they replaced her, there was likely schedule conflicts as well. I know she left filming of the episode " Lost City " early to go.
