LegionFanControl v2 is a complete rework of LegionFanControl from the ground-up. v2 includes a brand new UI and custom user fan curves for full live manual control over Lenovo Legion laptop fans. Users can set fan speeds and temperature points that activate immediately in real time. LegionFanControl is completely free with no ads.
On Windows I use this neat tool called Fan Control. You can set it to adjust fan speed based on different temperature sensors. For example, front fans react to HDD temperatures (I have a very warm HDD), and rear fan reacts to GPU temperature. You can use the BIOS to adjust CPU fan speeds, but if you need something specific like HDD or GPU ...
My CPU cooler fan and rear 120mm fan are controlled via BIOS fan curves based on CPU temp. I think these 2 are the most important fans to control the speed of. I leave CPU and GPU to default, case fan I lower the RPM until I can't hear it and leave it there. Everything on auto. You are overthinking it.
Summarized: Create 1 linear fan curve for CPU Create 1 linear fan curve for GPU Create 1 mix fan curve combining the two, set function to Max. Base your exhaust fan on the mixed fan curve. This is how you do it. If it sounds confusing I recommend you just watch their YouTube channel. They have tons of videos explaining this in better detail.
I also tried many "fan control" applications but alas, none of them worked. I don't really want to install Armoury crate again that bloats the OS with tens of services and processes. The thing is, it was pretty handy in controlling fan speeds. But I really want just fan control without Aura sync + ArmouryCrateService + etc.
And then change "ACSettingIndex" from "1" to "5". This applies the level of max fan speed of the "Best performance" power slider position to the "Recommended" power slider position for when your SP6 is on AC power. If you want to do the same for when your SP6 is on DC power, you can modify "DCSettingIndex" from "2" to "6", although I wouldn't ...
compguy96. • 3 yr. ago. Try TPFanControl in manual mode (fan goes from 0 to 7, 64 is emergency extreme speed, 128 is automatic speed). If it works fine, you can adjust the setting for Smart Mode 1 by opening the "edit TPFanControl.ini" shortcut, scroll down until you find the lines beginning with Level= and creating the fan curve you want.
it's allot of work. not recommend- usually the defualt fan curves are fine-ish. The only promising program is NoteBook FanControl, but you would have to manually create a configuration file. 3. Reply. Complex_Lab2730. • 2 yr. ago. I'm going to get rid of this device because of this issue. 1.
captainbubbs. • 2 yr. ago. Alt + f1 if I remember right. 1. Evablazer. • 2 yr. ago. Have you considered a complete teardown? That would see the coin-cell and all static voltages etc. drained from the MB, like a good hard reset. Worked for my AW Area51m after AWCC couldn't report fans and wattage correctly.
Use Dragon Center to control the fans with "silent" for quiet fans when gaming. If you want silent fans for basic tasks, you to use the "user" option to create a custom fan profile. Set it from 0% to 25%. You will get no fan noise. 1.
