La Grange Independent School District is a public school district based in La Grange, Texas . As of 2019, the district's superintendent is William (Bill) Wagner, and the assistant superintendent is Stacy Eilers. St. Peter's School opened in the fall of 1908 with 95 elementary and 10 high school students. [2] The combination church and school building became too small and a new structure was built in 1912. The school had 430 students by 1937. A fire destroyed the building in 1943. A new and larger building was dedicated on October 23, 1955.
Resurrection Catholic Secondary School offers a University Cooperative Education Program (UCEP), where students in either grade 12 or 13 spend their first semester at the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University or St. Jerome's University. The student is then able to gain a co-op position with a professor on any of these campuses.
