Ahmadabad Education Society is a premier educational trust, which has founded many schools and colleges in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. [1] [2] [3]One of the largest academic trusts in Gujarat, consisting of 25 institutions providing education to more than 10,000 college and 3,000 school going children and hostel facilities to 1,000 male and 450 female students.
The College of Agriculture, Junagadh started in June 1960. The college was affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad until 1967. Affiliation was transferred to Saurashtra University in 1968. The Gujarat Agricultural University was established in February 1972 but split into four Universities in 2004 (Gujarat Agricultural University Act - 2004).
The state government has also launched the district primary education program for making primary education compulsory and free for all students up to a certain age limit. It has also taken up several measures for checking the rate of dropout at schools in Gujarat. The same uniform structure of 10+2 education is followed in the schools of Gujarat.
Junagadh (જૂનાગઢ ⓘ) is the city and headquarters of Junagadh district in the Indian state of Gujarat.Located at the foot of the Girnar hills, 355 kilometres (221 mi) southwest of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar (the state capital), it is the seventh largest city in the state.
From 1906 to 1917, he served as a personal assistant of Prof. Gajjar and Prabhashankar Pattani, Dewan of Bhavnagar State. He had served as principal of high school at Umreth in 1905. [2] [3] He founded Gujarat Sahitya Sabha in 1904 and Gujarati Sahitya Parishad in 1905. [4] [5] He died on 4 June 1917 by drowning in sea at Juhu beach.

Gujarat College started as a small educational institution in 1860 [1] due to efforts of Theodore Cracraft Hope, [3] who inspired local people for charity, which led to the start of the institution. [ 6 ] [ 7 ] Thus the institute was started in 1860 as Gujarat Providential College but ceased to work in 1872.
