Cyberpunk is a tabletop role-playing game in the dystopian science fiction genre, written by Mike Pondsmith and first published by R. Talsorian Games in 1988. It is typically referred to by its second or fourth edition names, Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red, in order to distinguish it from the cyberpunk genre after which it is named.
In 1990, three dedicated fans of Cyberpunk who lived in Alameda, California — Kevin DeAntonio, Chris Hockabout, and Thaddeus Howze — approached R. Talsorian Games about producing an independent magazine about the game. R. Talsorian agreed to license them, [1] and the three formed Prometheus Press to publish their fanzine Interface.
System Shock 2 is a 1999 action role-playing survival horror video game designed by Ken Levine and co-developed by Irrational Games and Looking Glass Studios.Originally intended to be a standalone title, its story was changed during production into a sequel to the 1994 game System Shock.
