Praça do Almada (Almada's Square) is the civic center of the city of Póvoa de Varzim in Portugal, and is located in Póvoa de Varzim City Center. It contains the sculpture that pays homage to Eça de Queiroz, a notable writer who was born there. Praça do Almada is about 14,000 square metres (150,000 sq ft) in area.
Almada, Cova da Piedade, Pragal e Cacilhas is a civil parish in the municipality of Almada, in the Portuguese district of Setúbal. It was formed in 2013 from the merger of the former parishes of Almada, Cova da Piedade , Pragal and Cacilhas , and covers an area of 6.15 square kilometres (66,200,000 sq ft).
The Lagoa Encantada e Rio Almada Environmental Protection Area was created by state governor decree 2.217 of 14 June 1993. A management plan was issued in 1998, and a revised plan in 2002. [ 2 ] It became part of the Central Atlantic Forest Ecological Corridor , created in 2002. [ 3 ]

Caparica is a former civil parish in the municipality of Almada, Lisbon metropolitan area, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged with the civil parish of Trafaria into the new parish Caparica e Trafaria. [1] The population in 2011 was 20,454, [2] in an area of 11.02 km 2. [3]
The Almada River has a length of 138 kilometres (86 mi) from its source in the Serra do Chuchu in Almadina to its mouth at the Itaípe bar in Ilheus. [1] Its mouth is near the Trincheiras Cove, where the port of Malhado is located. [2]
It was constructed in the parish of Pragal, which was merged with the parishes of Almada, Cova da Piedade, Pragal e Cacilhas in 2013, into the municipality of Almada. It is the highest point in Almada, on a plateau dominated by the 25 de Abril Bridge , and close to the Estação Elevatória e Reservatório do Pragal. [ 6 ]
