The 1965–66 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers men's basketball team represented Western Kentucky University during the 1965-66 NCAA University Division Basketball season. The Hilltoppers were led by Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year John Oldham and OVC Player of the Year Clem Haskins . [ 1 ]
The Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournament was held in Louisville from 1949–55 and from 1964 to 1967. From 1956 to 1963 and from 1968 to 1974, no tournament was held. From 1975 to 1991, the tournament was held at the arena of the team that finished atop the conference standings.
The Hilltoppers were led by first year coach John Oldham and Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year Clem Haskins. [1] After two losing seasons, WKSC finished second in the OVC and were invited to the 1965 National Invitation Tournament. [2] Haskins scored a school record 55 points against Middle Tennessee on January 30.

The 2020–21 Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play begins in January 2021 and ended in March 2021. This was the final season for Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State as OVC members.
