Sheikhupura Fort (Punjabi, Urdu: شیخوپورہ قلعہ) is a Mughal-era fort built in 1607 near the city of Sheikhupura in Punjab, Although, there is no conclusive evidence supporting this, the Tuzk-e-Jahangiri mentions that the Emperor assigned the job of constructing the Fort to Sikandar Moeen on his hunting trip to Hiran Minar in 1607AD. Hiran Minar (Urdu: ہرن مینار; or "The Deer Tower") is an early 17th-century Mughal era complex in Sheikhupura, in the Pakistani province of Punjab.It was built at the site of a game reserve in honor of Mughal Emperor Jahangir's beloved antelope, Mansraj. [3]
Sheikhupura is the headquarters of Sheikhupura district. According to the 1998 census of Pakistan, the district had a population of 3,321,029 of which 25.45% were urban. [ 3 ] In 2005 one of its subdivisions was split off to form the new Nankana Sahib District .

Muridke Tehsil was previously divided in all these three constituencies which is now entirely part of NA-119 (Sheikhupura-I). Apart from that, areas of Ferozewala Tehsil which were previously part of NA-131 (Sheikhupura-I) have been made part of this constituency. Those areas include Chak No. 46 Union Council among others.
