Lakeshore Records is a soundtrack record label, originally founded as the independent music division of Lakeshore Entertainment. It had begun as Will Records, which was founded by Skip Williamson in the early 1990s.

The right-of-way now used by the Willamette Shore Trolley was established in the mid-1880s by the Portland and Willamette Valley Railway, which began passenger service with steam trains on July 4, 1887. It provided Oswego (as Lake Oswego was known then) with a direct link to Portland.

Lake Grove was platted in 1912 as a development on the western end of Oswego Lake, near the railroad line. That line, the Portland, Eugene and Eastern Railway (PE&E), was part of the East Side Local route of the "Red Electric" passenger service beginning in 1914, a service continued by Southern Pacific after it bought PE&E a year later.
The LOSRR was chartered to be built from Suspension Bridge, New York to Oswego, New York in 1858. The Lake Ontario Shore Railroad Company was founded in Oswego on March 27, 1868. Under Chief Engineer James Ross, work commenced in August 1871 in Red Creek, New York. Tracks were open to Oswego, New York in 1873.
