In February 1948, the name was changed to City College of San Francisco. [8] It now consists of eleven campuses, the Ocean Campus being the primary one. In 1970, the college separated from the San Francisco Unified School District. The college continued to hold noncredit education programs throughout San Francisco's neighborhoods.
