The Evesham, Redditch and Stratford-upon-Avon Junction Railway obtained an act of Parliament, the Evesham, Redditch and Stratford-upon-Avon Junction Railway Act 1873 (36 & 37 Vict. c. ccxlv), to build a line from Stratford-upon-Avon to Broom Junction on 5 August 1873.
