Shadows is Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot's fourteenth studio album, released in 1982 on the Warner Bros. Records label. It peaked at #87 on the Billboard charts . The album marked another significant turning point in Lightfoot's musical evolution.

Richard's debut single "Move It", recorded with his equally successful backing band the Drifters (later renamed the Shadows) was written by original guitarist Ian Samwell. It was released in August 1958, and was the first British rock and roll hit to make the UK Singles Chart top ten, reaching number two and spending 17 weeks on the chart.
The first three songs are taken from the band's 2000 release Of One Blood. They have been completely remixed and remastered. The next two tracks (4 and 5) are taken from the band's 2001 Japanese EP Deadworld (despite both songs appearing on later releases). These two tracks have also been remixed and remastered.
The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios (Studio 2) between 26 October 1960 and 21 June 1961. It was recorded on entirely analogue equipment in real time, with each track recorded on a one-track-per-day basis with no overdubs or edits on a 2 track recording machine.
