Buku Ende is a book of hymns in the Batak language used in the Batak Christian Protestant Church in Indonesia.The book is organized and published by the printing division of Batak Christian Protestant Church in Pematang Siantar, Indonesia.
The sign reads: "Gereja & Candi Hati Kudus Tuhan Yesus Ganjuran Keuskupan Agung Semarang" (The Church and Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ganjuran Archdiocese of Semarang). Alongside Malay, Portuguese was the lingua franca for trade throughout the archipelago from the sixteenth century through to the early nineteenth century.
