Greenville (/ ˈ ɡ r iː n v ɪ l / GREEN-vil; locally / ˈ ɡ r iː n v əl / GREEN-vəl) is a city in Greenville County, South Carolina, United States, and its county seat.With a population of 70,720 at the 2020 census, it is the sixth-most populous city in the state. [8]
Christ Church was founded by Reverend Rodolphus Dickerson, who established the St. James Mission in Greenville. The planning for the Episcopalian church was done by Joel Pansett, and the first Cornerstone was laid on September 15, 1825. The property includes a large cemetery, with gravestones dating back to the late 1700s and 1800s. 12
