Jo Raquel Welch (née Tejada; September 5, 1940 – February 15, 2023) was an American actress. Welch first gained attention for her role in Fantastic Voyage (1966), after which she signed a long-term contract with 20th Century Fox .
Returning to Europe, Welch worked mostly in Italian and German film and television productions. She appeared in American independent films I Shot Andy Warhol, Sue, and Search and Destroy. She portrayed the role of Catherine Powell in the 1996 video game Ripper. Welch posed on the cover and a nude pictorial in the November 1995 edition of Playboy.
