Sky Sports Racing (formerly At The Races) is a British pay television channel devoted primarily to horse racing. A joint venture between Sky Group and Arena Racing Company , it broadcasts coverage of domestic, European and international horse racing events.
There was live radio coverage by BBC Radio, which has held the radio rights since 1927, and by Talksport, which covered the main race live for the fourth time. The race was won by One For Arthur , only the second horse trained in Scotland to win the Grand National (the other being Rubstic in 1979 ).
The distances of the races are expressed in miles, furlongs and yards. In 2017 the BHA concluded a racecourse survey and remeasurement which led to some racecourses changing the exact distance of some races, or moving race start points to fit with advertised race distances. [1]
